Days 2-4
Ko Samet
A national park surrounded by palm-fringed pure white beaches and azure waters, Ko Samet is the perfect place to chill out for a few days. Spend time soaking up the sun on the aptly-named Hat Ao Prao ('Paradise Beach'), rent a surfboard to take on the waves or wander through the lush, tropical flower gardens. In the evenings, savour fresh seafood al fresco at the resort's restaurant or sit back on the chalet balcony and enjoy a romantic sunset.
Travel back to Bangkok for a final serve of stir-fry or to pick up that silk teddy bear you saw earlier.
