Described as a 'teardrop on the face of eternity', the majestic Taj Mahal must be seen to be believed - and lives up to all expectations. Also visit the enormous Red Fort that lords it over the city from its vantage point on the banks of the Yamuna River.
Day 5
Orchha
Attend a puja ceremony in this tiny temple-filled town. Situated on the clean banks of the Betwa River, charming Orchha is the perfect spot to take a stroll or learn the art of Indian cooking at a culinary class.
Day 6
Khajuraho
Tucked away in the remote plains of central India, Khajuraho's temples depict epic battles, Hindu legends and the full Kama Sutra on their delicately-carved exterior. Enjoy an evening performance of traditional dance.
Days 7-8
Varanasi
Fascinating Varanasi is one of India's most sacred cities, full of temples and shrines. Mingle with pilgrims and devotees along the banks of the Ganges and soak up the magical atmosphere of a candle flower ceremony at sunset.
